The CD 1340 and CD 1440 digital multifunctional systems are the latest additions to the UTAX product line-up. These reliable, all-in-one solutions are ideally suited for use in mid-size departments or larger teams, in medical practices, law firms or communication centres. With their wide range of innovative features the CD 1340 and CD 1440 are indispensable tools which make everyday office life that much easier.

UTAX, the Document Consulting specialist and trusted partner to office suppliers dealing in print, copy, fax and scan systems, announces the launch of the CD 1340 and CD 1440 b/w multifunctional A4 systems. These two universal multi-talents allow users to copy, print, scan in colour and even fax (CD 1440 only) with superb quality. The CD 1340 and CD 1440 are designed for all kinds of office environments where reproducing and scanning of documents is of the essence. Both systems are extremely easy to use and thanks to their high output speed of 40 A4 pages/minute they allow users to finish their tasks quickly and efficiently.

After a short warm-up time of 22 seconds, the first page is printed in only seven seconds. What makes the two systems truly unique, though, is their wide range of standard features that can be extended further with optional accessories. The CD 1340 and CD 1440 deliver single- as well as double-sided prints at a pin-sharp resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. The original feeder, which holds up to 50 sheets, and the various paper sources for up to 2,100 sheets, make copying, scanning and faxing really efficient. Yet, sensitive originals can also be fed via the flat bed scanner. Both products accept paper weights of up to 220 g/m² and process formats of A4 to A6R even from the standard cassette. Their memory capacity can be expanded to 768 MB RAM. Additionally, both systems offer a variety of convenient scan functions such as scan to PC, scan to e-mail, scan to FTP, scan to USB, TWAIN scan and WIA scan. They support TIFF, JPEG, XPS and PDF scan formats.

A series of security settings ensure that data is protected against unauthorized access. And with the optional Card Authentication Kit external card readers can be connected with the systems for enhanced user security.
