UTAX launches LP 3130 b/w laser printer
Small but impressive. UTAX GmbH has rounded off its product range in A4 black and white printing with the new LP 3130 b/w laser printer. This reliable system can fit in any office thanks to its compact size and appealing design. As a desktop printer, it requires very little space and offers a high degree of printing quality and ease of use.
Norderstedt, Germany – 23rd August 2010. UTAX, the Document Consulting specialist and trusted partner to office suppliers dealing in print, copy, fax and scan systems, has enhanced its black and white printing offering with the launch of the LP 3130 A4 entry-level laser printer. Thanks to a printing speed of 30 A4 pages per minute and the fact that all conventional operating systems are supported, this printer is suitable for any office environment and reliably provides high-quality print-outs.
Like its two faster family products, LP 3135 and LP 3335, the LP 3130 has a convenient printer driver with enhanced functions. This offers a wide range of settings, such as, for example, the selection of half-speed mode. This not only reduces the print speed, but also ensures extremely quiet printing operations, which is a great advantage, particularly if printing is performed near the user’s desk.
The LP 3130 is fitted with a 250-sheet paper cassette and a 50-sheet multi-bypass as standard. Those who require a large paper volume can expand the paper capacity to 550 sheets. The duplex unit for automatic double-sided printing is another standard feature. As a result, 30 A4 pages are delivered in simplex mode and a productive 17 A4 pages in duplex mode. The LP 3130 prints with a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi.
Since workstation print jobs are usually rather sporadic and low in volume, the start-up and warm-up times of the LP 3130 have been kept low: The warm-up time is only 19 seconds and the first page is printed after a mere six seconds. Like with the LP 3135 and LP 3335, paper weights from 60 to 220 g/m² can be processed. The standard cassette and the multi-bypass are suitable for paper formats from A4 to A6R, while the optional cassette is suitable for paper formats from A4 to A5.
UTAX has given its newcomer a memory of 32 MB, which can be expanded to 544 MB. In addition to a standard USB 2.0 interface, the LP 3130 can be equipped with an optional network card for shared use in small office teams. In order to be able to process even increasingly complex data in a highly efficient manner, the LP 3130 has a 360 MHz PowerPC CPU on board.
