- Follow&Print: Intelligent redirection of print jobs to ensure that they remain securely in the queue and can only be released by authorized users. This prevents print jobs from being left unattended in the output tray.
- SecurePrinting: Flexible login thanks to the integration of various authentication methods, such as PIN or card systems or username and password
- Support for common network encryption: Ensuring smooth data transmission throughout the network using SSL and TLS3.1
- Password-protected print jobs: Print jobs are only released after authentication to protect sensitive data.
- Security Quick Setup: By selecting from three different preset security policies, security settings can be configured in a single step.
- Automatic updates: Regular and automatic updates for software and firmware ensure that systems are always up to date.
- Security watermarks: Automatic identification of unauthorized copies through embedded watermarks
- IEEE 802.1X authentication: Access control recognizes authorized users and devices to protect your network.
- SSL encryption: Encryption of the print data stream and the transmission path to ensure security when reading data
Authentication by entering a password
Authentication on the MFP protects the system from unauthorized access and also provides regulations and cost center allocation for copying, printing, scanning, and faxing.
Protection against manipulative changes to the firmware
Secure Boot and Run Time Integrity Check ensure that your MFP uses authorized firmware. The validity of the firmware is verified both during startup and during operation. The combination of both functions provides effective protection against unauthorized firmware changes.
IP and port filters
An IP and port filter allows access to the system only by registered IP addresses.
Monitoring printer fleets with UTAX Smart
Thanks to integrated solutions and individually upgradeable security options that comply with and are certified according to the international security standard Common Criteria ISO 15408 EAL2, many of our products provide comprehensive protection at the network level, making copying, printing, scanning, and faxing with UTAX systems a secure affair.
Protection against unauthorized modification of codes
Secure Bot and Run Time Integrity Check ensure that your software uses authorized firmware, which is repeatedly checked for validity in the meantime.
Port filter
Port filtering can be used to block outgoing Internet connections, allow selected applications to access the Internet, or completely block the port for data protection reasons.
Encrypted data transmission for MFPs in the network
Our systems (MFPs and printers) support TLS encryption protocols 1.2 and 1.3, preventing data from being altered or intercepted in the system. Print and scan data can also be transmitted in encrypted form.
Secure storage methods in the application
SSD/HDD encryption of data storage via AES encryption. Complies with the international security standard Common Criteria (ISO 15408)
